Felis Spengler, piano, and Konstantin Litvinenko, cello
Felix Spengler,was born in La Habana, Cuba. He studied violin and piano, was a student of renowned Russian pedagogue Mme. Nina Svetlanova of Moscow Conservatory and Manhattan School of Music. Currently is completing his doctorate at Rutgers University. Spengler has delighted audiences from Barcelona, Salzburg, Russia, and Argentina to New York.
Konstantin Litvinenko, was born in Donezk, Ukraine. In 1986, Litvinenko was awarded a full scholarship to attend Odessa State Conservatory, and took classes with Chief of the Strings Department, Evelina Sigal. He has a master of Fine Arts degree. Litvinenko, has played in many chamber ensembles and orchestras: including Miami Symphony, Florida Chamber Orchestra, Symphony of the Americas, Walenstein Symphony Orchestra, Coral Gavles Chamber Symphony, Miami Lyric Opera, Miami City Ballet. Fine Arts Chamber Players and the Basically Beethoven Festival
Who are the Fine Arts Chamber Players?
The Fine Arts Chamber Players are not a set group of musicians, but professional classical musicians from the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, The Dallas Opera Orchestra, the Fort Worth Symphony, and area university faculties who are chosen to play masterpieces of chamber music. Musicians for the young artist recital series are winners of area contests.Our educational and outreach programs are also performed by professionally trained actors, teachers and musicians.
What are the Fine Arts Chamber Player Concerts?
Dynamic concerts of classical chamber music with no admission charge since 1981 in three concerts series: the Bancroft Family Concerts Series are held one Saturday afternoon (daytime!) each month from Oct-May and the Basically Beethoven Festival, which includes the For the Love of Music youth recitals, are held each Sunday in July.
What are the Fine Arts Chamber Players educational and outreach programs?
The are five FACP educational programs – Music A-Z, Dream Collectors FEA & MOP, Masterclasses and Latin Folk Fiesta. These educational programs are held according to class schedules and school requests with an average of over 400 performances each school year in North Texas public schools. Fine Arts Chamber Players Outreach includes the Workbench Project and The Dream Collectors Senior Program. Link to Educational and Outreach Programs
Where are the concerts, educational and outreach programs performed?
The Bancroft Family Concerts are held inside Horchow Auditorium at the Dallas Museum of Art, and the Basically Beethoven festival and For the Love of Music youth recitals are held at Dallas Cultural Centers like the Dallas Arboretum or the Grand Hall at The Texas Discovery Gardens in Fair Park. Our educational programs are performed in North Texas-area schools and our senior program in North Texas area.
