Trinity Cathedral welcomes back composer Dennis Janzer to the console to perform a program of Bach and original compositions. Dennis Janzer's many published compositions are regularly used in concert and worship services throughout the world. A notable recent premiere was Janzer's organ work "Flourish Like The Palm Tree", first performed by Felix Hell at the American Guild of Organist's 2010 Mid-Winter regional convention in Sarasota, FL. Soloists:

Dawn Smith, viola,  age 24, is a 2007 graduate of The Juilliard School in New York City where she was awarded the Peter Mennin Award in Music. A native of Miami, FL, Ms. Smith has soloed with international and national orchestras including the Moscow State Symphony in Russia and the New World Symphony in Miami Beach under the baton of Michael Tilson Thomas. She has played with renowned jazz musicians Herbie Hancock, Wynton Marsalis, and Regina Carter, and more…

She was one of the featured soloists in the Santa Fe Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra's summer concert series in Santa Fe, New Mexico. In addition, Ms. Smith was featured in GLAMOUR Magazine, where she was selected as a winner of their “Top 10 College Women” competition for her contributions to the arts.

Daniel Andai, violin, Hailed by the New York Times as an "Exemplary Leader," for conducting the Manhattan School of Music Chamber Sinfonia along with members of the New York Philharmonic from the concertmaster chair in Carnegie Hall, violinist Daniel Andai continues to share his versatile artistry as concert soloist with orchestras, recitalist, recording artist, orchestral and chamber musician on five continents including the Middle East, the Caribbean and 20 United States in some of the world’s leading concert halls and prominent artists.

A consistent prize winner of numerous competitions & awards, some of which include the Raphael Bronstein Award from the Manhattan School of Music, Schlern International Competition in Italy, Dr. Luis Sigal International Violin Competition in Chile, International Soloist Festival in Moscow, Bach Society, Music Teachers National Association, FLASTA Young Artist Award, Mizner Centre for the Arts, Lynn University, New World School of the Arts, and many more, have led to many performances with such orchestras as the Florida Philharmonic, Moscow State Symphony, Miami Symphony Orchestra, Sinfonica Juvenil de Caracas, Sinfonica Venezolana Simon Bolivar, Renaissance Chamber Orchestra, Virtuosi Camerata and the Welsch Chamber Orchestra, among others.

They will each perform as soloists and as a duo with the Ars Flores Symphony Orchestra in works by Mozart, Mendelssohn and Saint Saens.

A Family Concert

David Grover is a songwriter and performer of children's music with a message.Children all over America have enjoyed and learned from David & Grover's Gang and their songs. Concerts include clap-a-longs, sing-a-longs and children coning on to the stage to participate. His concerts have sonething for everyone!

All concerts are presented at Gusman Concert Hall, Frost School of Music, University of Miami, Coral Gables, Florida located at 1314 Miller Drive. There is ample free parking and the venue is handicapped accessible.

Come early and visit our instrument petting zoo, instructors from Allegro Music Center will help the children. After the one hour concert, have fun at the Apple Juice, Balloon and Cookie party.
